EUROVENT Energy Classes
The energy class takes into account the AHU’s geographical location. This location allows standard sizing data to be retrieved (ASHRAE database). These data must be used in the calculation of the energy class.
They may differ from the sizing data requested by the client.
High efficiency on the heat exchanger

Low electrical consumption?
Plate or rotary heat exchangers can achieve high efficiencies, well above the ErP directive (minimum 73%). However, the higher the efficiency, the greater the pressure drop of the exchanger, leading to increased fan power consumption and a higher SFP.
